The Weed You association in Barcelona organised a Chess competition for stoners, sponsored by Advanced Nutrients with the collaboration of Super Smoker and LosMejoresHumos.
The private cannabis users' association Weed You in Barcelona organised a chess competition among its members. A brilliant initiative by the association that also left the door open for members of other cannabis user associations to participate. Although in the end only members of up to 3 different associations were able to participate, the organisation is already preparing a second edition for the winter and hopes that more associations will participate.
The dates chosen for the competition were 26th and 27th June 2021, a weekend so that more members could participate. All participants were given a welcome gift and trophies and prizes were also announced for the first and second place finishers. The organisers had SuperSmoker as a partner, a well-known brand of smoking paraphernalia and accessories that also offers a wide range of bongs and special collections of products.
This first edition also had a luxury sponsor, Advanced Nutrients, one of the largest and most successful companies in the cannabis sector. Internationally renowned for its varieties of growing products and its support for the legalisation of the plant and the regulation of the sector, the Canadian company wanted to support this interesting event and, among other things, in addition to having some of its star products among the gifts for the winners, several members of the Advanced Nutrients EU team personally attended the association during the two days of the competition.
In the course of the first day the tournaments were developing quickly and planned by groups and schedules, several of the competitors showed their great skills in the game and were winning until the finalists were left for Sunday's tournaments. On the second day were the quarter finals and the final, very interesting tournaments that ended with two clear winners, the two partners graced with all the gifts and prizes from collaborators and sponsors, which also included a LosMejoresHumos grinder made by 3DGrinders.
Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all the participants, organisers, collaborators and sponsors, we are always grateful for this kind of initiatives from associations and user groups. We are already looking forward to the winter to participate and collaborate in the already announced 2nd edition of Joints Gambit Cup, the Chess tournament for stoners, where you can enjoy the best smokes.
